| Larry H. Spector Of Counsel Larry Spector has 34 years of experience in complex business litigation involving securities, employment, antitrust and trade secret litigation; contracts, real estate transactions and taxation; legal and accounting malpractice; fraudulent conveyance, successor liability and preference matters in bankruptcy; and business divorces. He has been repeatedly recognized as a Super Lawyer by Philadelphia Magazine. He first practiced for two years with a Chicago law firm representing plaintiffs in antitrust class actions. He then returned to his native Philadelphia where for 27 years he was an associate and shareholder in the boutique litigation firm of Mann Ungar Spector and Labovitz., P.C. He continued practicing commercial litigation for four more years before becoming Of Counsel to Bazelon Less & Feldman in 2009. Examples of matters handled include: Defense and plaintiffs’ representations in securities class actions regarding tax opinion letters, audit issues and feasibility studies and in antitrust litigations challenging restraints of trade involving electronic bond trading, HVAC equipment, municipal roofing contracts, marine shipping containers and auction bidding processes. Representation of bankruptcy trustees establishing successor liability against debtor’s shareholder in acquiring its assets and alleging breach of fiduciary duty, self dealing and preference liability against shareholder/lender who restructured debtor’s debt; representing insurance commissioner pursuing fraudulent conveyance and preference actions in liquidation proceedings; Representation of landmark office tower and retail shops in litigation over largest real estate transfer tax assessment in Pennsylvania history. Representation of public company foundry in arbitration of business divorce with partner involving cost accounting and product defect issues; Representations of public biopharmaceutical, genetic research company and securities trading firm in trade secret, restrictive covenant and computer abuse litigations; Representation of shareholder's estate seeking 1/3 share of $100MM post death sales proceeds of closely held company from two co-shareholders; Representation of member firm of Philadelphia Stock Exchange for violation of Exchange rules by other member firms. Mr. Spector has volunteered at Philadelphia Legal Assistance to help homeowners avoid mortgage foreclosure; coached Moot Court teams at Temple University Beasley School of Law; tutored at the Center For Literacy; and mentored for Philadelphia Futures.
