JERRILYN MARSTON RECEIVES FOURTH WHARTON AWARD FOR EXCELLENCE IN TEACHING

Bazelon Less & Feldman shareholder Jerrilyn Marston, also a lecturer in law in the Department of Legal Studies, Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, has won the school’s 2004 - 2005 William G. Whitney Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching in the Affiliated Faculty for the fourth time in five years. Award winners, chosen based on student course evaluations, will be cited at the 2005 Wharton undergraduate commencement ceremony on May 15, 2005.

For the past 19 years at Bazelon Less & Feldman, Marston has concentrated her practice in complex commercial litigation. Her clients have included several major surety bond companies, insurance companies, general contractors, business owners, corporations, and investors. Marston is also an arbitrator appointed by the National Association of Securities Dealers.

A resident of Narberth, Pa., Marston earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vassar College (A.B., magna cum laude, 1966), a Master’s degree in History from Columbia University (M.A., 1967), a Doctorate of Philosophy in Colonial History, with highest honors, from Boston University (Ph.D., 1975), and a law degree from The University of Pennsylvania (J.D., cum laude, 1984). She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania; the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Pennsylvania; and the U.S. Court of Appeals, 3rd Circuit.
