BAZELON LESS & FELDMAN WELCOMES NEW ASSOCIATE
Matthew Skolnik Joins Philadelphia Office
Matthew Skolnik has joined Bazelon Less & Feldman’s Philadelphia office as an associate to focus on commercial and civil litigation. Prior to joining the firm, he was an associate at the law firm of Pepper Hamilton LLP.
Skolnik has extensive litigation experience in practice areas including antitrust, copyright, employment, securities, and general commercial and international litigation. He has also engaged in a range of cases from Enron securities litigation to representing two juveniles in a pro bono immigration matter before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Skolnik is a member of the board of directors of the Center City Resident’s Association in Philadelphia. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, U.S. Court of Appeals, 3rd Circuit and the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Skolnik earned his undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Michigan (B.A., class honors, 1997) and his law degree from Emory University School of Law (J.D., 2002), where he was the executive managing editor of Emory International Law Review. His Comment, “The Forum Non Conveniens Doctrine in Alien Tort Claims Act Cases: A Shell of its Former Self after Wiwa?” was published in 2002 and has since been cited frequently.
Established in 1983, Bazelon Less & Feldman, P.C., with offices in Philadelphia and
Marlton, N.J., represents both plaintiffs and defendants in complex commercial litigation. The
firm has been trial counsel in charge of various lawsuits in state and federal courts, before
administrative agencies, in bankruptcy courts, and in arbitration proceedings, and has represented
its clients before numerous state and federal appellate courts.
