BLF attorneys defended the University of Pennsylvania - the owner of a construction project - against multi-million dollar claim asserted by the Project manager, Skanska.

Skanska was sued by the project subcontractor, Quinn Construction, who claimed that it had not been fully paid for its work on the project. Skanska demanded indemnification from the University, and, in addition, asserted its own claims seeking, among other things, payment for disputed change orders and compensation for project delays.

After only limited document discovery, BLF negotiated a favorable settlement between the University and Skanska, thus extracting its client from this litigation that then went on for several more years.
