Trustees of Princeton University v. The Henderson Corp. et al.
(N.J. Super. Ct. Law Div. 2010)

BLF attorneys, including Lisa A. Barton, advised and represented the University in a complex construction dispute with a general contractor and design professionals arising out of defects in a newly-constructed multistory graduate housing complex.

BLF commenced litigation against the general contractor and design team after they failed and refused to correct serious construction defects in the project. The defendants added third-party claims against their subcontractors and suppliers.

At the same time litigation was proceeding, BLF advised the University regarding a remediation and repair program that would preserve evidence and avoid spoliation claims while allowing the work to be completed timely.

The litigation was resolved after court-directed mediation.
